Captain Harry Font's room in the infirmary is closed down for a few hours while he has a visitor - rumours abound that someone had tried to kill Harry, but quickly dismissed as pretty standard gossip about Harry.
In the wake of the Governmental "Expenses" scandal http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7329749.stm Gordon Brown has instigated a review into the finances of all government departments, so as to be seen to clean house. Stockton Vandermaar (rather than Susan Campbell for some reason) places Geoffrey Manning in charge of collating the information from the UKGC - while Vandermaar and Kincaid are attending financial and other meetings in London. Assumed to be to do with the same items.
The contingent of SAS and MI5 operatives continue to seal off the Stores and let only SSgt Steven Banks in. Everyone is continued to be searched on leaving the stores by the MI5 officials. Instructions sent down from the chain of command require a full inventory of all items in the stores.
Three Royal Engineers officers come down to Bletchley Park and start to look around the storage facility and are seen to make a lot of notes and take a lot of information about storage capacity. One is overheard in conversation to remark that it was amaetur hour.
The day after this Two men in ill fitting suits and pink ties arrive and do exactly the same thing as the three RE soldiers. Although their tape measures are more polished.
Certain artefacts from the current Stonehenge Dig (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7337292.stm) are brought back to be analysed. Some of the pieces are definately alien in origin, and are thought by the scientists that look at them to be part of the missing DHD that was never found. Other items are unknown at this time as to their points of origin.
As acting Military head (due to the absence of Brigadier Kincaid, and the hospitalisation of Colonel Modkesi and Lt. Col. Calvin - Major Benton is sent a form requiring him to release Flt. Lt. James Merryweather for a two week period. No details are placed in the secondment, but it's signed by General Dannatt.
In the absence of James Kibble who has been seconded to look after a top secret project - the current research and development workload is split between Jason Andrews (Physics and Engineering), Tabitha Becker (Biology) and Duncan Waterhouse (Gadgets). Instructions from Mark Taylor require a full inventory of everything that is being worked on.
The routine calling to Lucky and the others still on Hannan is disrupted by Solar activity (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7326097.stm) which forces the superconductors in the Stargate to draw a lot more power from the local system, overpowering the generator at Bletchley and tapping into the National Grid network, the resulting surge in the network blacks out a 40 mile radius - stretching to Northampton in the North, Oxford in the South, Luton and Beford in the East and Banbury in the West. This network blackout lasts for approximately eighteen hours while the burnt out circuits are replaced.
Sophie Robertson-Knight is despatched to the Royal Astronomical Observatory in Belfast to monitor the situation to ensure it doesn't happen again. The Government's cover story is that an aging legacy electrical grid malfunctioned causing an energy surge which caused the blackout. But the mood of the Government is high level annoyance at the occurance.

James Kibble is asked to analyse the "power generating moss" from Hannan - to see whether it can be grown and thus provide a new source of high density fuel.
Steve Banks and Kate Becker are asked to find out precisely how much Naquadah exists on the base and the Delta site and to catalogue it - using any Naquadah detection methods necessary and seconding Jason Andrews or Colonel Thorne to help if required.
